    Hi Powder Chaser Steve!

I have a 4 day backcountry trip planned out of Williams Peak Yurt in the Sawtooth Range of Idaho from March 25th-29th. The 10 day weather forecast in town (Stanley, ID) is calling for rain and somewhat warm weather. This combo has me on the edge of my seat (and very worried). What are the odds I receive a powder gift from the gods, or a rain drenched snowpack, or something in between?

    Thanks for your help,

Its a bit far out, but my models are showing an active period prior to your arrival and at some point while you are in ID. It looks possible that cold air makes it into Idaho then. I would stay confident! Please check back with us as we get closer. Feel free to donate for powder and Avalanche centers in the West (CO, UT, NW).
