Powder Report for the week of March 2nd-March 7th

If you are feeling the Spring Powder Blues you are not alone as it seems like we can't shake these warm days and high snow levels that turn my endorphins searching for some mid winter fluff somewhere? Jackson Hole was our predicted winner last week with several days of 4-8 inches of dry density snow however that was on top of a super bomber crust layer especially at lower elevations.  They did have a few days of smiles!

This week sends a very moist and warm airmass into the Pacific Northwest (High snow levels) which will eventually work it's way into the Rocky mountains as it shears apart Monday-Thursday with light snowfall and rain expected with high snow levels with the exception of late Wednesday where a cold front will finally bring us some 3-5 inches of light density snow. The best chance of a decent storm comes next weekend so keep the snow dance going so we can shake this warm air out! I am optomistic that by late in the week the smiles will return.

Monday-Light snowfall and rain possible on warm SW flow in the Wasatch and the Tetons
Tuesday-Light snowfall and rain possible with continued warm temperatures
Wednesday- Light to moderate snow possible in the Wasatch with colder temperatures (3-6 inches)
Thursday- Light to Moderate snow possible for Colorado and colder temperatures
Friday- High Pressure
Saturday/Sunday  Chance of moderate to heavy snow with sharp cold so keep your fingers crossed!
