East Coast Alert!
The Mid Atlantic stretching up to southern New England is about to get blasted, especially coastal areas where 20-plus inches are likley. Cape Cod and Long Island look especially deep by Monday morning.
Below: Total snowfall through mid Monday morning showing very high double digits in the coastal areas, 9-14 inches inland to Ski areas in southern NY, CT, and eastern MA. PA resorts will also do well. The dunes on the outer Cape will be deep! We think the cutoff on high totals will be near Portsmouth, NH, or just north of Amesbury, MA.
Perhaps ski in CT, Nashoba, MA, Hunter, NY, or head south to PA. Lighter totals will fall in the Berkshires.

Pacific Northwest and Canada
Dense snow has overspread the western Cascades, especially Mt Baker, on Sunday, where 5 inches fell since 7 AM. Whistler has had 4-7 inches since Saturday evening, and it is still snowing. A low-pressure system centered offshore will push east Sunday night into Monday, increasing snow intensity in the western Cascades of Washington. There will be lighter totals on the east side (Mission Ridge, Mt Spokane). The peak action in the Cascades will be after midnight on Sunday through Monday midday. Interior BC grabs 4-9 inches while coastal areas continue to see slightly higher amounts (7-14).
We expect storm totals by Monday midday to be below. Chases are recommended here; however, many areas in the central, southern, and eastern Cascades have low bases.
Baker: 7-14 inches
Mission Ridge: 3-6 inches
Stevens Pass: 4-7 inches
Crystal: 9-13 inches
Whistler: 9-14 inches
Timberline: 6-12 inches (upper elevations).
Schweitzer: 4-8 inches
Along with snowfall, winds will also be increasing after midnight from the SW (gusts of 25-35 at the ridgetops near 7,000). While moisture is plentiful in Oregon, temperatures will be warmer with rain possible below 6K. Timberline, likley stands better odds than further south at Bachelor for some decent totals.
Colder air moves into the PNW on Monday morning near daybreak, bringing higher quality snow to the Cascades, albeit intensity will be decreasing intensity. might you grab good quality 3-5 on top of dense 5-10?
Rockies-Idaho
Sponsor Alerts (Heli or Cat Ski in the Teton or near Park City.
High Mountain Heli in the Tetons is still grabbing fresh lines from the previous storm and is going to score decent totals by midweek. Mention Powderchasers for a free swag bag.

With 20-38 inches in the Wasatch, PC cats who ride in the higher elevation of the Uinta Range, 30 minutes from Park City, have openings beginning February 23rd. More snow will fall by Wednesday.

Rockies Spotlight
The overall picture for the rest of the West is for moderate totals to land from northern Idaho and Montana (Sunday night to Monday), moving into the Tetons by Tuesday mid-morning to Wednesday.
The Tetons should be able to squeeze out 5-10 inches of relatively dense snow by Wednesday morning (35% from Tuesday). The Wasatch and areas of northern Colorado are next, with mainly seeing snow on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning (3-8)
Below: Total snowfall in the PNW and northern Idaho/Montana through Tuesday morning

Below: Wednesday morning totals show the increase over the Tetons from Tuesday midday to Wednesday, and mainly overnight powder for the Wasatch and northern Colorado. Warmer air will keep totals in Utah and Colorado on the lighter side (3-8), whereas slightly cooler temps in the Tetons might offer 5-10.
In Colorado, the deeper pockets might end up at the mid or upper elevations of Steamboat, RMNP, and even Winter Park. Summit County was looking decent on earlier models. Overall, it is a very warm system, so elevation will be your friend.
Below: 10K temps looping from Monday night to Wednesday night. You can see above to near freezing in Utah initially, with cooler temps to the north. Colorado is also stuck in the warm sector. Bottom Line: We don't like the looks of the snow density with this storm; rain below 7500 is possible before some cooling later Wednesday. The Tetons stay cooler, but it is not stellar due to a few warming periods and wind (Will ride better than areas to the south).
