Get It While You Can

We are on the chase currently! 

Bottom Line: PNW is getting a moderate storm favoring WA and Oregon. The northern Cascades look the deepest followed by central areas near Stevens (Not Open). We are not liking Crystal as much due to unfavorable wind direction. The models seem to put out less here.  NOAA still has high amounts at Crystal.  We are not seeing it right now but hopefully that changes. Some shadowing will occur with Mount Rainier. Weak convergence zone might set up over Stevens Pass and I-90 (Snoqualmie) albeit weak. Our best guess through Wednesday morning is 9-13 at Baker and 4-7 at Crystal. Timberline, Bachelor, and several other resorts in Oregon should do well (Excess of a Foot) Wednesday/Thursday. The sun will return for Thursday. We expect 12-15 at most resorts in both northern and central Oregon by late Wednesday night. 

Colorado just got hit with 5-10 inches being reported at Breckenridge, 12 inch totals near Wolf Creek (Warm initially with a few inches of fluff this morning).  Telluride snuck out 7-9 with a wind shift to the NW. These resorts need it! I-70 was snow packed this morning (Closure at 5AM of Vail Pass but has reopened). 

High Pressure is headed our way after this midweek storm cycle.  if you are going to chase powder, head to the PNW right now! High pressure might last into the middle of December. The good news is that the long range models appear to bring additional storms back to the west mid December and in the extended!
